The oldest written record of using sound healing dates back to ancient Egypt in the “Ebers Papyrus,” dated 1550 B.C.
Sound healing has been utilized by most civilizations throughout time.
There are two main categories for sound therapy: “Active Sound Healing” & “Passive Sound Healing.”
Active sound healing is when a person or group of people play musical instruments to create a healing environment. This can be done with one instrument or several different types of instruments.
Passive sound healing is when a person or group of people listen to a recording, a live performance, or have their energy fields bathed in sound.
Sound healing is based on the principle that all matter, including the human body, is in a continuous state of vibration. When the frequency resonates throughout the body, it can alter our brain waves, which can affect our moods, stress level, & even physical sensations like pain.
